The rapper revealed the project on Instagram, sharing heartfelt words about the inspiration behind the album and its upcoming release on April 27 under Death Row Records.

“Good afternoon, loved ones. April 27, I’m dropping a gospel album on Death Row Records. It’s called Altar Call,” Snoop said in a video post. “You heard it first. A gospel album, April 27. God is good. Won’t he do it?”

The album cover features a touching image of Beverly Tate, who passed away in 2021, and the 21-track record promises to be a celebration of faith, love, and healing. Altar Call will also feature an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Jamie Foxx, Jazze Pha, and Jane Handcock, among others.

“The spirit of my mother will forever live within me,” he shared. “This album is a reflection of what she has taught me – to use my voice and my platform to spread love and heal the world. Just another chapter out of the Bible of Love.”

In 2018, Snoop released his debut gospel album, Bible of Love, which featured collaborations with iconic artists like Faith Evans and Rance Allen.
