During a lively sideline interview at The Icon League tournament in Berlin, football icon Marcelo Vieira proved he’s as quick with his music opinions as he is with his footwork. Speaking with KISS FM, the Real Madrid legend dove into a rapid-fire hip hop challenge that revealed his deep admiration for one rap superstar above all: Eminem.
Faced with a series of classic rap face-offs, Marcelo hesitated when choosing between Nas and Tupac, ultimately giving the edge to Tupac. But when Eminem’s name entered the fray, the Brazilian star’s loyalty was unwavering. Eminem consistently beat out a lineup of hip hop heavyweights, including Biggie, Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill, André 3000, LL Cool J, J. Cole, 50 Cent, Ice Cube, DMX, Missy Elliott, Method Man, and Ludacris.
The only moment of doubt came when Marcelo had to choose between Eminem and Method Man. “Ah, I love this guy,” Marcelo admitted, clearly torn. Yet, even Method Man’s legendary status couldn’t dethrone Slim Shady from Marcelo’s top spot.
