Snoop Dogg Set to Ring in 2026 as Host of NBC and Peacock’s Star-Studded New Year’s Eve Special

NBC is turning up the heat this holiday season by teaming up with none other than the Doggfather himself. That’s right—Snoop Dogg will host an all-new New Year’s Eve special live from Miami, promising an epic night of music, celebration, and unforgettable moments.

Titled “Snoop Dogg’s New Year’s Eve,” the two-hour variety extravaganza will air December 31 from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. With Snoop’s signature charisma and laid-back flair, the network is betting big on bringing a fresh, bold twist to one of television’s most iconic nights.

“Snoop Dogg’s energy, influence, and ability to bring people together promises an unforgettable night,” said Jen Neal, executive VP of Live Events and Specials for NBCUniversal Entertainment. “We’re thrilled to partner with Snoop and bring this epic event to audiences across the country once again live from Miami.”

This marks a new chapter in NBC’s New Year’s Eve playbook. After recent experiments with Miley Cyrus’s buzzy specials and last year’s “A Toast to 2024!” hosted by Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, NBC is stepping up the game, aiming to rival ABC’s long-dominant “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.”

Snoop’s relationship with NBCUniversal continues to grow. Already a fan-favorite coach on “The Voice”, he also played a memorable role during NBC’s Summer Olympics coverage in Paris. His production company, Death Row Pictures, recently signed a development deal with NBCUniversal, further solidifying his growing footprint in the entertainment world.

“Snoop Dogg’s New Year’s Eve” will be produced by Den of Thieves, the live-event masterminds behind major TV moments, alongside Death Row Pictures.

From coast to coast, fans can expect a night of music, surprises, and Snoop-style celebrations as we say goodbye to 2025 and welcome 2026 in true party fashion.
