Caitlin Clark kicked off her second WNBA season with an electrifying performance against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Saturday afternoon. Her Indiana Fever team dominated the game, securing a commanding 93-58 victory at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year, Clark showcased her exceptional talent by recording 20 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds. This marked her third career triple-double, propelling her to third place on the WNBA’s all-time triple-double list.

Just 41 games into her professional career, the 23-year-old point guard trails only Alyssa Thomas (15) and Sabrina Ionescu (4), while tying with Candace Parker (3).

The WNBA’s official communications account highlighted this achievement with a social media post on Monday, stating, “Caitlin Clark started her sophomore season by recording 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in her season opener against the Chicago Sky. Clark is now tied for third on the WNBA all-time triple-double list.”

In addition to her triple-double, Clark also contributed four blocks and two steals in the resounding victory. “The coaching staff has just challenged me to be a better defender in every single practice and just being better in that area,” Clark shared in her postgame press conference. “I still feel like there is a lot of room for me to improve. I don’t think any of those blocks are too obvious. You look at the stat sheet and it’s like, ‘Oh, wow, four!’”

As the Fever look to build on their strong start, they will face the Atlanta Dream in an away game on Tuesday night.
