Blake Shelton Makes Huge Announcement, a First in Four Years
The ‘Austin’ crooner is ‘beyond excited to finally share’ the news.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton surprised fans at a concert in Greenville, South Carolina, on Thursday, March 13. Shelton was in town for his “Friends & Heroes” tour and, at one point during his performance of “Nobody But You,” Stefani came on to the stage to sing her part of the couple’s duet.
On Friday, March 14, Stefani shared a video of the surprise performance on her Instagram feed.
“I don’t wanna love nobody but u!! one of those nights… thank u Greenville!! we love u!!” the No Doubt singer captioned the upload.

Dozens of fans took to the comments section of the post to react.
“It was so exciting when you came in the stage! Crowd went wild! Blake’s concerts are always a good time!!!! So much fun! We love y’all!!!” one person wrote.
“Love these performances you do together ! I finally saw you perform live in Huntsville Alabama! Waited for hours in the mud and rain, best night of my entire life!!” someone else said.
“CUTEEEEE omg lucky humans that got to see you guys,” a third comment read.
“You two are just magical together. Most beautiful love story of all time,” a fourth Instagram user added.
Stefani and Shelton — who married in 2021, seven years after meeting as coaches on The Voice in 2014 —released “Nobody But You” in 2019. The track was the third collaboration for the husband and wife, and it was also the first song that they ever performed together at the Grammys (in 2020).
In an interview with The Tennessean in 2019, Shelton said that he first listened to the song while in the car with Stefani on the way to her son’s school.
“I was just floored,” Shelton said. “I realized how important that song was for me, and where I am in my life right now. I think that’s why [songwriter Shane McAnally] was trying to get it to me because he knows enough about my personal life … to know, ‘This has got to get to Blake because it fits his story.’”
Shelton is the stepfather of Stefani’s three sons — Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11 — whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
Blake Shelton is giving fans exactly what they want, new music—and just in time for summer!
On Friday, March 14, the “Came Here to Forget” crooner revealed that his first new album in nearly four years is on the way, finally offering an explanation for the cryptic text post he shared on Instagram the day prior.
“It’s been a long time since we had a new album out, and I want to thank the songwriters and musicians who helped bring this record to life,” Shelton said in a statement. “Scott [Hendricks] and I have been working on this music for years, and I’m beyond excited to finally share it with the fans.”
The new album, For Recreational Use Only, will be Shelton’s 13th studio album and immediately follows Body Language, released on May 21, 2021.

Also on this record is Shelton’s November 2024 hit, “Texas,” which has already climbed the Top 10 charts. At the time of the single’s initial release, he teased that this “is the perfect opportunity to come back with something so different, and it easily felt like it should be the first single.”
“It’s connected with what I’ve done but moves forward at the same time and it’s the perfect start to the next chapter of my career,” he added.
